what success doesn't feel like

The sucky thing about grading is reading uneven essays that sort of get the point -- or even worse, nail half the points and totally mangle the other half. You think, "I taught this? This is what you took away from class?" Aggh.

It's even suckier when you're doing this late at night. It's 10th week. No matter where you are, 10th week hunts you down and kicks your ass.

haha - you can't blame yourself. i had some fantastic teachers as an undergrad, but when i look back at essays i wrote in the core, i think: "i wrote this? what on earth was i thinking?!?!". Trust me, at this stage, it really is them, not you (speaking from the perspective of someone who was in the "them" group not too long ago).
